I have read on this forum and an immigration lawyer also confirmed to me that knowing the I40 receipt number itself is enough. She said that I can print out the case status of I140 approval from USCIS website and use it. Though I did not take the job offer for which I needed this information so I have not used it.
FOIA should not take 8 months.. I applied for it at end of Jun and my number was around 3900 and it is now around 800 so I expect to get it in next 1 month so FOIA should give you copy of I140 in approximately 3-4 months.

Please do not rely on Indian Media for immigration news.
They have covered their bases by putting "May" in the headline. "May" increase visas.
There is already a discussion that happened about this on another thread. Please search the forums for the article before starting a new thread.
And for heaven's sake, please dont look for immigration related news in Indian Newspapers. They dont know that congress has two chambers : House and Senate. And they dont know the common basics of legislative process in USA.

As Silverlight is a browser side technology, you would have no problem serving Silverlight content from our servers as long as you add the proper MIME type settings to the site via .htaccess rules such as:
AddType application/xaml+xml .xaml
AddType application/x-silverlight-app .xap
AddType application/x-ms-xbap .xbap
HTTP responses have a "content-type" as apart of their header.

My sister is planning to visit us here this summer. she is scheduled for visa interview next month. (me & my sister who is citizen ... are sponsoring her)
little caveat, my sister has filed immigration file for her (about 2 years back...it usually takes 10-15 yrs for sibling family visa). just want to know anyone has seen or encountered such case. (in her visitor visa forms we have disclosed all this, meaning immigration file number n all)
is there any specific question that they may ask....or does it make her in-eligible for visitors visa ?

Hi Antonio, I have the 70-210 AF (non-D). It's from the first generation of Nikkor AF lenses. I've also got the 18-70. The focus on the 70-210 is pretty sluggish. It can't keep up to fast moving targets, at least w/ the D80 (I've heard the D200 has a better focus motor -- this lens uses the old in-camera focus motor rather than the newer/quieter in-lens focus mechanism). I've shot some sports with this lens, and it's fine when you can pre-focus on a spot, or when the action is moving perpendicular to you (rather than towards/away) -- it can keep up. If you can live with these limitations, then the lens will work for you. I can't really comment on how the 70-210 AF-D works, though I've read the same thing, that it's geared for faster focus.

I-140 Premium processing upgrade receipt number
Dear firends.,
My lawayer upgraded to premium processing for I-140 on June 20th,2007. Will I get a new receipt number or should I keep checking the status for the original I-140 receipt number

I'm in same boat, upgraded to PP on June 1. your new status of I140 will be "We received request for PP". usually they update the online status on friday night. Expect an RFE early next week, they just want more time, so they send some non-sense RFE. RFE resets the 15 day clock.

If I were you I would just get a new exam done and submit it. Also, you should explain that you DID submit it in the first place and send the sealed envelope again. What do you have to lose if you send 2 medicals? Hanging on to the sealed one you have does not gain anything.
About envelope being huge? Well, no regulation says that you cannot send any envelope greater than 11x17. That would be just plain stupid if they rejected because of envelope size, and I seriously doubt they would do that. Thinking about it, it would be funny to see someone chest xray pop out of an 11x17 envelope :)

My employer has job posting Bachelor's degree with 7 years of experience but does not say anything about Masters Degree. Wanted to know this job requirement fall under EB2 or EB3?. appreciate for the response.
The advt is very sensitive. My friend lost his eb2 chance because of that.
