    In the 485 check list sent by my employer one of the item is :

    "Affidavit of support duly notarized (Form I-864) if you are applying for your family"

    I am applying for my self and my wife and for my daugher. I will send my all paper to my employer and he will sent to attorney.
    Do i have to fill form I-864 or attorney will fill form. if i need to fill then where i can find this form and how i can notarize it.

    Please help.

    Yes, the numbers are fixed. Therefore, those who filed in July and August, which were not given number from FY2007 will get from FY2008. And that would be too many for countries like India and China.

    Hi Gurus:

    Could you tell me do I need CGFNS visa screen for filling I-140 as registered nurse?

    My situation,

    I am having Bachelor Of Science in Nursing degree from US unviersity.
    I have state board nursing license (RN NcLex) from NJ.

    Do I still need CGFNS VIsa Screen?

    I believe CGFNS is for foreign nationals who train outside the US. If you train here, I don't think you need it.

    Yep.. Steve had a database crash last year and the got wiped I believe.. I thought it was funny this old thread was dug up. :-)

    They are on disk somewhere.. But I'm away from home and don't have access to them right now.

    A federal judge in Phoenix on Wednesday blocked key provisions of Arizona's controversial immigration law from taking effect as scheduled Thursday, granting in part an injunction requested by the Obama administration.

    U.S. District Judge Susan Bolton ruled that the injunction would apply to the portion of the state law that requires police to try to determine the immigration status of a person they arrest, stop or detain while enforcing other laws if they reasonably suspect the person is in the United States illegally.

    In a lawsuit filed against Arizona, the Obama administration said the law was unconstitutional and warned that the provision would result in racial profiling and harassment of U.S. citizens, legal immigrants and foreign visitors.
    Bolton said in her ruling that it was "not in the public interest" for Arizona to enforce a provision that preempts federal enforcement of immigration law.

    I worked with them for almost a year and ran like anything.

    They were paying me meager salary even I had a good rate.
    They started GC when I asked, which was good
    There health insurance sucked
    They reduced my salary at the last moment when I gave notice to my last employer. Agreed to give a raise after 6 monhts, never did. When I asked again after 1 year, they wanted to give me 2K raise which was nothing. This was after end client raised the rate by $5/hr
    Owner/sales guy are amway, they'll ask you to go to there meetings. Somehow, i saved myself :)
    When I left, they canceled my health insurance from a month back even when they have deducted premium from my salary.When I threatened to log a case with DOL then they gave the money (which they deducted) back. Still, I had to pay medical expense for that month (fortunetly it was less then the premium)

    Thank you frostrated and madmonkey for your responses. We had taken infopass and were able to speak to immigration officer too. That is where we were told there is nothing like linking or interfiling. I read the pearson memo multiple times but it says both dates must be current. EB2 is not current and hence do not know the validity of the claim. I will try infopass again and see before filing MTR.

    I was looking through my LC and 140 documents and found out that there are two different job titles in LC. One is Employer Job title which is "Analyst Programmer" other one is prevailing wages occupational title which is "Computer Systems Analyst". My question is what should be my Title at new employer?

    Programmer, analyst programmer, developer, software engineer, sr. software engineer, sys analyst, etc., are all the same.

    The gray area starts when a developer moves into business development or becomes a manager.

    Hello everybody,

    Since my last post I have done a lot of research on this site and i think i have found the answer to most things. I am curious to find out if anyone has been in the same situation and have a couple of questions left.

    1. Since now I am married but when my I-485 was filed I was single, do I need to ammend the I-485?
    2. Do I need to let the attorney know that we are self filing for my wife?

    I am not a perm candidate and I dont know what is causing the failure of First-in-first-out procedure.

    We are going to demand TRANSPARENCY in addition to efficiency for BECs. Its a part of Immigration voice's agenda.

    The way things are going, even if you get your labor approved, there will be a new backlog. That will be at 485 stage.

    And then 2 years down the road, there will be a backlog elimination center for the I-485 as visa numbers would be available but the self-appreciating and self-congratulating govt agencies would continue doing the great job they are doing today. At least people with lesser patience will be able to go for consular processing.
