In the event handler for the UI element you click, simply do a cast such as "sender as UIElement". That will give you a reference to the element you are trying to find.

I think you are ok. Nobody got I-485 approval in 4 months. So, don't worry. You can apply anytime before your 485 gets approved.

If one has an approved I-140, the priority date of that approval is "locked-in" so to speak and can be used for future cases. Normal proof one would want to have for when s/he is filing a new PERM case with a new I-140, is a copy of that previous approval notice, though sometimes it is possible to use the on-line status print out. To carry over the priority date it is not necessary that the two positions be similar, or even that they be in the same preference category. One can be EB3 and the other EB2.

I filed 485 on July 2 2007 through Company 1. I left the Company 1 on July 7 2007. Company 2 had filed for PERM in June that had an approval on July 16 2007. I wana apply for 140/485 through Company 2 (concurrent filing) by this July 2007. Can I have 2 pending 485 application? I dont have the receipt for 1st 485 as it was just filed on July 2.

I got a similar RFE, except I have been asked to provide government documentation stating why mother's name is absent in birth certificate. Can anybody help on what type of government document can I obtain? Getting a new BC won't be possible, as my parents are currently in the US, and would return after the RFE response deadline. Can I get a court order regarding this effect? Any template would help.

Much easier for you , get them to sign an affidavit here and notarize it and submit it, also get an affidavit from some of your relatives back in your home country as additional evidence and submit them. Any documentation which basically establishes their relationship to you and an affidavit completing the circle would be acceptable
